MySQL HeatWave team is working on next-generation large-scale distributed systems designed for the most popular database in the world and optimized for the cloud. We need expertise in the following (or related) areas:

Database kernel development
Query processing/big data analytics
System software, including operating system kernels
Cloud computing
Machine learning
Computer Architecture, Compilers, and Programming languages

We are looking for candidates with a PhD/ Master’s in CS/CE with:

Strong background in design and development
Demonstrated research excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including scientific writing, presenting, and formal briefings
