As a cybersecurity generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing comprehensive security solutions and experience across various domains, maintaining the protection of client systems and data. What You’ll Create And Do
A career within Cybersecurity and Privacy and Financial Crime services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients implement an effective cybersecurity programme and help run their cybersecurity operations that protects against threats, propels transformation, and drives growth.
As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organisations, partners and customers. We play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are protected by developing transformation strategies focused on security, efficiently integrate and manage new or existing technology systems to deliver continuous operational improvements and increase their cybersecurity investment, and detect, respond, and remediate threats.
As an intern, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities may include:
- Learn cybersecurity concepts such as detection, response and attack patterns
- Work in an operational environment and learn first-hand on how cybersecurity operations work in detecting and preventing cyber threats
- Assist with security monitoring, detection, response and client care
- Ensure cyber security incidents are investigated identified, assessed, reported, communicated to the client, and mitigated
- Ensure compliance to client agreements, adherence to process and process improvements to achieve operational objectives
- Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework
- Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
- Coordination with stakeholders, build and maintain positive working relationships with them
- Enable cyber operations reporting to support anomaly detection, SLA monitoring or effort / estimate modelling

What you’ll bring to this role:
- Available for an 8, 12 or 16 month work term (4 month work term may be considered)
- Enrolled in post-secondary education in Technology
- Ability to code in one or several languages: Java, C, C++ or Python
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
- Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
- Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities

- You’ll be comfortable travelling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC)
- This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract.
- We'd love it even more if you’re bilingual in English and French, however this isn't a requirement.

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information
The salary range* for this position is $63,000 - $69,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
- Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location. PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing salary ranges in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
