You will be involved in large-scale projects and perform a defined set of duties independently. Use your internship to build a network and become familiar with our company.
The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role:
• Contribute to ongoing research activities on data driven predictive control, helping us develop optimal control methods without detailed model knowledge.
• Benchmark an existing data driven predictive control algorithm against well-established methods like model predictive control (MPC).
• Develop a testing framework to evaluate performance and robustness of the Data driven predictive control algorithm.
• Support the implementation of additional features to the existing code framework.
• Implement new application examples based on literature or first principles equations.
• We expect that you show readiness to tackle difficult problems, above-average motivation to implement and test developed models and algorithms, and proactiveness to come up with new ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.
• Driving an independent work task as a project team member.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Computational Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ideally, experience in control theory, automation, or model predictive control (MPC).
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Familiarity with Git for version control is a plus.
- Interest in solving complex industrial optimization and control problems.
- Attention to detail and a thorough working approach.
- Enjoy documenting results in written and graphical form and presenting them to the team.
