About The Role
We are looking for an individual interested in driving innovation in the application of UV LEDs in water treatment. This position is part of the Innovation & Technology (I&T) department located in London, ON, Canada and will be primarily working in research laboratories, though analytical work may be done from home.
In this role, you will help characterize the thermal behavior of PCB mounted UV LEDs. You will work closely with senior scientists, conducting experiments to assess LED junction temperatures across a wide range of operating conditions. You will operate benchtop test equipment capable of operating PCBs under controlled conditions, measuring temperatures, currents, and voltages. You will create clear written reports and communicate your results to technical audiences.

We are seeking an individual with 2-3 years of undergraduate education in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical or Mechatronics) who is eager to learn new techniques and use new instruments in a safe, controlled environment. If you enjoyed university lab courses, then you have the right mindset for this work. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word for analyzing and reporting results is essential.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience with:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and interest in heat transfer, PCB design, and electronics testing. Experience with SolidWorks and Python is a plus.
