About the Company:
NorthCode Technology is a small startup technology consulting company based in Metro Vancouver area. We are looking for a co-op/intern from BC-based colleges to work for us for a 3-month remote internship with occasional office visit, if needed. As a small founder-led firm, we look for applicants who can work independently and proactively. A spirit of curiosity to figure things out is imperative.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create visually appealing and feature-rich business websites for clients, with specified features and functionalities.
- Build simple web applications, web pages, or forms to implement intake of client information and other interactive features.
- Analyze the company’s workflows and manual processes to identify opportunities to automate them. Build solutions and tools to automate processes.
- Research opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence tools to make manual process more efficient and automated.
- Use commercial AI applications (ChatGPT, etc.) to write AI prompts, create specialized AI instances to perform pre-defined tasks, and prepare simple custom AI applications.
- Utilize low-code or no-code tools (Bubble, Airtable, Make, etc.) to simplify and build custom workflows for company processes.
- Any other technical tasks as needed by the business.
Candidate Profile
- Current students from a BC-based college or university. Opportunity is open to those looking for an internship, co-op alongside their coursework. Timings are flexible.
- Previous experience with the above duties is an asset and nice to have.
- Nice to have: a portfolio of prior apps, websites, projects you have created.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts independently from scratch with minimal guidance.

Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
