EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Master's, bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Software Engineering or Computer Science or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
As a part of our team, you will:
- The successful candidate will work with the Network Automation team and support the Network Services Platform (NSP) open interfaces towards our partners and our internal and external customers. APIs are a critical element of the current and future success of the Network Service Platform product. With the rapid introduction of new content and functionality into the product, ensuring our APIs are consistent, well-documented, and well-supported, is paramount.
- As part of greater scope, our team maintains the Nokia Network Developer portal at https://network.developer.nokia.com/ and maintains the Network Services Platform “cloud” labs available to external users. As a candidate, this is the key area of contribution as you:
- Develop various features of the Developer Portal using Python/Django
- Take responsibility to write effective, scalable code.
- Code, test and debug new or existing features of the portal.
- Work closely with other developers, and actively participate in portal-related discussions.
- Working in a fast-paced environment with an excellent team of engineers.
- 2 nd year+ Software Engineering or Computer Science major.
- Strong programming skills in Python (Experience with Django Framework preferred)
- Some Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
- Strong grasp of object-oriented software design concepts.
- Familiarity with Unix (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with Git version control system and/or micro-services build architecture (Gradle).
- Strong problem resolution skills: the ability to learn quickly.
- Knowledge of agile software design and test methodologies.
