Location
This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, or Toronto, Canada office, at least three days a week.
About the team
Kinaxis delivers unparalleled supply chain agility and resilience to companies across industries with our cutting-edge Maestro platform. Join our IT Business Partnerships team and contribute to the strategic alignment of business and IT to ensure successful implementation of business initiatives.
The IT Business Partner Intern will support the IT Business Partner in managing demand intake and portfolio management within ServiceNow. This role is pivotal in ensuring that business demands are efficiently processed, prioritized, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. You will provide operational support to help the IT Business Partner focus on strategic collaboration with business units. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with exposure to a wide range of business functions.
This is a full-time, 8-month position, starting January 2025.
What you will do
- Assist in the intake, tracking, and management of business requests in ServiceNow’s Demand Management and Project Portfolio Management modules.
- Ensure all stakeholder information is captured, and demands are properly categorized and routed.
- Help maintain traceability between requests, project execution, and ongoing operations.
- Assist with the coordination of portfolio management activities, helping to prioritize and align IT projects with business objectives.
- Support the IT Business Partner in creating and updating project roadmaps.
- Prepare status updates and help track the lifecycle of IT demands from ideation to project delivery.
- Coordinate and schedule monthly 1-on-1 calls with business sponsors.
- Assist in documenting and communicating project outcomes to ensure transparency and alignment across business units.
- Work closely with IT Business Partners to improve demand management workflows, ensuring efficient processing and approval of business requests.
- Assist in evaluating new technology solutions and documenting high-level business processes for business improvement.
What we are looking for
Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Ability to analyze business demands and prioritize them based on strategic importance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and relay complex information clearly.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with ServiceNow, demand management tools, and IT portfolio management systems is a plus.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and learn quickly.
