CGC Group of Companies designed and manufactured the first ever Hybrid Heat Pump System in the mid 1990's and now distributes this Canadian system throughout North America. We own and operate two manufacturing facilities in Fergus, Ontario with our Corporate office being in Mississauga, Ontario.
CGC Group is proudly part of the Climate Solutions Group of NIBE (Sweden).
Our core technologies include:
- Bulldog Hybrid Heat Pumps
- Make Up Air Units
- Compax Modular Chillers
Due to our success and further growth plan, we are looking for a Product Engineering Co-op Student for the 2025 Winter Term to assist in the application of our leading technology.
The main task of this role will be to assist in our test lab and work with our Engineering department on new and current product lines.
Other tasks will include:
- Sheet metal design and modification for our standard equipment as part of an ongoing product improvement process.
- Testing new equipment with Braze Plate Heat Exchangers.
- Working with the test engineer to investigate and implement new refrigerant types into our existing product line.
- Updating and verifying existing Engineering drawings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active student enrolled in an Engineering Degree Program (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
- Availability for an 8-month co-op placement would be an asset
- Proficient operating Auto Cad and Solid Works
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Basic thermodynamics, fluid mechanics knowledge
- Strong communication skills both orally and written
- Exceptional Microsoft skills
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
