The opportunity:
Our office is looking for an Atlantic-Canadian student (undergraduate or graduate level)to join our Halifax team as a 4-month intern/co-op this Spring (May to August) 2025 within the People & Change service line.

What you bring to the roleYou strive to make a meaningful and positive difference alongside your peers, to work collaboratively and with innovation at the forefront. You’re passionate about being involved in your local community and post-secondary institution and have a proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while being curious as you learn emerging practices and technologies.
- You are enrolled in a post-secondary degree program and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Studies, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or MBA, or related fields in Nova Scotia or currently living in Nova Scotia. Only candidates in the third year of their undergraduate degree and on should apply.
- 1 - 2 years of related experience in industry/accounting or consulting is an asset.
- Familiarity with any ERP systems (SAP/ Workday/ MS Dynamics/ Workiva etc.), Power BI and other Data Analytics tools is an asset.
- An understanding of project management principles or relevant coursework, as the role may involve supporting complex projects.
- You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You have a strong academic record.
- You have the ability to work independently without supervision.
- You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure.
- You have a strong sense of personal accountability, with a commitment to exceeding expectations and building lasting client relationships.
- You have an entrepreneurial drive and are a creative problem solver.
As part of the People and Change practice, you’ll be learning from some of the best in the industry and growing your personal skillset by:
- Supporting client pursuits and business development efforts including preparing proposals and materials for client presentations.
- Supporting multiple client engagements simultaneously, varying in size, scope, and complexity.
- Delivering projects in a collaborative team environment (e.g., research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, options identification, recommendations).
- Growing your reputation and your relationship building skills by developing your internal and business networks.
- Building credibility by delivering high quality results on time and proactively identifying and resolving project issues.
- Working with senior KPMG leaders to understand, enhance and integrate service offerings across People and Change.
- Integrating, cleansing, and synthesizing data to develop actionable insights
- Supporting the development of project plans to meet business objectives against identified constraints
- Executing work stream tasks in collaboration with client teams and other consultants.
- Supporting growing client relationships
