About
In my pursuit of finding opportunities that apply to my educational interests, I was excited to find the vast opportunities at CAYOP. I have experience working with electrical panels, residential installations, CEC Electrical Code, and DC/AC motors in school and I firmly believe I have much to offer and learn from an internship opportunity.
I am a second-year student at Centennial College completing an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. My ambition is to work in the utilities and power distribution sectors where I can develop my technical, problems solving, and critical thinking skills.
In college, I learned various applications of electricity in industrial, residential and commercial sectors. I have hands-on experience with repairing, maintaining, connecting and testing electrical fixtures, comprehending specifications, control equipment and wiring. I also have exposure in, reviewing drawings, designing electrical prints on AutoCAD, and am familiar with Microsoft Office tools from courses like Electrical Theory and Installation Methods.
I gradually worked my way up at Shoppers Drug from being employed as a merchandiser to being an Assistant Manager. Working in retail has challenged and developed my interpersonal and problem-solving skills. I enjoy the fast-paced environment of working collaboratively with a diverse group of coworkers.
Ultimately, I am motivated and eager to search for opportunities through CAYOP that will contribute towards my ongoing learning and professional development, which is what brings me here.
