Job Description
Bantrel has an exciting opportunity for Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering students to support our Energy Team this summer. Reporting to the Project Engineer/Manager, you will support Energy related projects from Calgary office. The position will be starting in May 2025 for a 4 month term.

Job Summary
This internship position at Bantrel assists the Project Management and Discipline Engineering teams in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning industry processes, procedures, and corporate business policies.
The position objective is to educate the student in field and office engineering operations and gain real-world experience. This position reports directly to the assigned Project Manager or Project Engineer, with indirect reporting to the Project Engineering Department Chief. Upon completion of the student’s Project Coordinator Internship, they will return to finish their degree.

Duties & Responsibilities (may include and are not limited to):
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete project specific engineering deliverables.
- Become knowledgeable with the engineering design process and practical applications, regional codes and standards, various engineering design tools and applications, and the Bantrel quality procedures.
- Work collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment to deliver the best solution for our clients.
- Record and monitor project progress and actions, including preparing and issuing meeting minutes.
Qualifications

- Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects.

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university. Preference will be given to Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering programs.
- You will have completed 3 years of your engineering program by April, 2025.
- Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community.
- Interest in engineering design and complex projects.
- Previous work experience will be considered an asset.
- Technical experience with design calculations, modeling tools and software, ability to use data-centric design tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be preferred.
