Job Description
The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success. This individual will call clients to understand their current processes and schedule meetings to understand their needs. They will also work closely with sales and marketing teams to uncover new leads a build outbound strategy.
Responsibilities
Overall:
- Understand community needs and current processes
- Generate appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting
- Work directly with sales and marketing to discover opportunities from leads
- Create an outbound strategy that will lead to successful bookings
Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team in outbound prospecting and lead-generation activities.
- Conduct research to identify potential clients for outreach.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a database of leads and contacts.
Customer Engagement:
- Communicate with prospective and existing customers via email, phone calls, and video conferences.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, product demonstrations, and follow-up calls.
Sales Outreach:
- Support outbound sales efforts through cold calls, emails & Linked in messaging/posting
- Help craft compelling messaging and value propositions.
- Customize sales collateral for specific client presentations.
CRM Management:
- Assist in maintaining and updating the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Ensure the accuracy of customer data and sales activities.
- Assist in utilizing sales intelligence platforms such as Zoom Info.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of the startup's products or services.
- Be prepared to answer basic customer inquiries and provide product information.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Sales experience or coursework is a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic startup environment.
- Passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to learn about sales in a startup setting.
