Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior manager costing, the intern collaborates with the plant manager, as well as the North American business leaders to monitor operation performance, develop strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to facilitate decision-making and to meet the businesses’ strategic targets. Cost analyst ensure our cost are accurate to ensure the best financial decisions that maximize the North American strategic goals.
Principal Responsibilities
In collaboration with the cost analyst help with review of accounts including variance explanations of actuals vs budget vs forecast and perform investigations of these variances.
Assist analyst in specific project related to manufacturing location.
Help develop the capabilities, tools, and reports to enable Finance to influence and drive better decision-making in the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certificates
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
CPA and/or MBA an asset
Bilingualism (French and English)
Dynamic, innovative thinker with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Technical Skills & Experience
Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills
Working with large data sets
SQL (nice to have) – to connect to Datawarehouse
