Internship Overview
Nasdaq's Internship Program provides outstanding opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience during a 10-week internship. As part of the program, you will partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and take on a real-world project with real-world impact and gain practical skills that will help shape your career for years to come. Additionally, you will meet with senior leaders and participate in professional development activities throughout your internship.
Part of Nasdaq’s Global Capital Markets Advisory Investor Relations Intelligence business unit, Nasdaq’s Global Perception & Investor Engagement team is a global group of consultative analysts focused on helping corporate issuers optimize capital attraction and execute value enhancing strategies. This specialized capital markets team actively works with C-Suite Executives and Heads of Investor Relations across the world on a project-by-project basis conducting Voice of Shareholder (VoS) analysis (perception studies) and aiding corporate issuers on optimizing capital attraction strategies.
You can expect to support in advising public company investor relations teams and management teams on their investor outreach strategy and execution (consult on conferences, NDRs and direct outreach, PMs and analysts for companies to engage), aid in ad hoc research efforts on buy-side investors/capital markets trends and contribute to the creation of presentation material for c-suite and Board of Director meetings and presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of senior members of the Global Team, aid in conducting perception/VoS analysis.
- Engage in market sampling by interviewing institutional investors on a daily basis to understand, evaluate and asses the opinions, concerns, analysis and priorities around a corporate issuer’s stock as it relates to corporate strategy, use of capital, investment thesis construction, management and IR functions.
- Analyze findings on behalf of clients and align strategies and decisions with shareholder expectations, ensuring that their interests are considered in corporate governance and strategic planning.
- Utilizing Nasdaq’s proprietary data, identify untapped pockets of long-term capital and advise corporate issuers on quantifying the effectiveness of their IR programs, outreach strategy, conference and Non-Deal Roadshow strategies
- Aid in ad hoc research efforts on buy-side investors/capital markets trends and contribute to the creation of presentation material for c-suite and Board of Director meetings and presentations.
Internship Program Requirements:
- Must be a rising senior enrolled full time for the upcoming semester in an accredited University in Finance, Business or related major and on-track to graduate
- 10-week commitment with availability to start in June 2025
- Proactive, responsive team player who can thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
- Motivated self-starter who is results-driven
- Exceptional use of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required
- Possess a curious nature around learning new topics and solving problems
- Very strong quantitative skills
- Solid understanding of and interest in the capital markets
- Comfort balancing several concurrent data analyses
