Participates in and supports global mobility activities as directed by Senior Managers across the GM function (mobility tax, relocation management and special projects). Works as part of a team and independently using some working knowledge of HR or finance to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

What is the opportunity?
Are you interested in the opportunity to work as a Summer Student in Global Mobility (HR) at RBC?
The Summer Student, Global Mobility sits within the Global Mobility Centre of Expertise (GM COE) and works in collaboration with all areas (Relocation, Mobility Tax, Projects & Strategic Initiatives). The GM COE team is collectively responsible for managing the deployment of key talent across within and across our multiple locations within North America, the Caribbean, Europe, UK and Asia.
What will you do?
- Work with Senior Managers to simplify processes leveraging new technologies and work flows
- Participate on GM COE annual project priorities as needed (in areas of relocation and mobility tax)
- Perform research and provide answers for global mobility related inquiries as needed.
- Documenting processes or upgrading existing procedures.
- Be an active contributor to not only your individual team, but the GM COE and RBC HR community
- Constantly seek out better ways to do things, new tools, new technologies, new processes
- Work on transformational projects delivering new value
- Use knowledge to independently lead the analytics process to identify valuable and innovative insights
- Other areas as needed
What do you need to succeed?
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Human Resources, Business, Finance or International Studies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
- Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment
- Passion for learning with ability to apply new learnings as you go
- Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2025 Student placement with a start date of May 2025, and end date of August 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2025 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2025), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
