Your main responsibilities
Under the supervision of In House Legal Counsel, you will play an operational role in all legal affairs activities. This is a start-up environment in an established company. Your responsibilities will include:
> Develop document and contract templates;
> Perform specific research;
> Maintain electronic and physical filing systems according to document management policies;
> Complete file analysis;
> Prepare multiple documents (presentations, spreadsheets, letters, corporate documents, etc);
> Draft and revise leases and related legal documents;
> Assist and observe legal processes as they occur, including mediation, hearings, arbitration, and client and corporate meetings;
> Other related tasks;

Education and experience
> Law student at university level (2L or 3L LLB, LLL or JD);
> An interest in commercial law, corporate law and administrative law will be preferred;
> No legal experience is required, but may be an asset.
Qualifications/Skills
> Excellent command of spoken and written English, with French proficiency considered an asset;
> Good command of IT tools: Suite Office; Teams;
> Ability to work as part of a team;
> Ability to communicate and popularize information;
> Good judgment, analytical skills and ability to synthesize information;
> Ability to plan, organize and carry out several projects simultaneously.
