New Grad Program

Capital Portfolio Delivery
We are seeking 2 Engineering New Grads within our Project Estimating team.
Our Capital Portfolio Delivery division is responsible for leveraging our internal capabilities and working with key stakeholders and Indigenous partners to efficiently deliver our growing capital plan, ensuring Hydro One can support the future of energy in our province.
Engineers in Transmission Portfolio Management (Capital Projects) take on exciting roles, leading critical activities like technical reviews, scope development, risk assessment, cost control, and scheduling. The Estimating team prepares detailed project estimates and analyses. New graduates will thrive on challenging tasks, learning about engineering, construction, commissioning, and finance, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle. This role fosters professional growth and technical and financial expertise.
In this role you will:

Research and maintain historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, cost comparison, and bills of materials) to develop precedence and validate estimates.

Coordinate with Engineering, Investment Administrators, Project Managers, Construction, Grid Operations and other stakeholders (internal and external) in the preparation of complete project estimates.

Job Requirements:

A University undergraduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics, Chemical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
