Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Representative Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing field of sustainability and ESG while contributing to the growth of a dynamic SaaS company. As a Business Development Representative Intern, you will play a key role in driving our sales efforts by conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and supporting outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough research on companies with ESG goals to identify potential leads and market opportunities.
- Lead Qualification: Gather and analyze decision-making information to enable targeted outreach and qualify leads, ensuring alignment with potential clients’ material ESG issues.
- Cold Outreach: Engage in cold outreach activities, including email, phone calls, and LinkedIn messaging, to connect with potential clients and generate interest in Ensogo’s software platform.
- Client Engagement: Support the sales team by securing demonstrations of our software platform, focusing on addressing client needs and highlighting the value Ensogo can bring to their ESG strategy.
- ESG Familiarization: Develop a solid understanding of sustainability management principles and key ESG standards and frameworks, such as CSRD, GRI, ISSB, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Marketing, or a related field.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable with conducting cold outreach through various channels.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with an ability to synthesize information from various sources.
Bonus Qualifications (not required but preferred):
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs) is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot.
- Fluency in French (professional or native language speaker).
- Residence in Montreal or the Greater Toronto Area.
